Alright guys I hope this information suffices and answers all your questions.

As far as preparations with respect to papers go, Personally, I had not touched the GK section as the current GK would be of that year and no use to you. You can practice all the other sections from these papers. I would strongly advise you to solve the Logical reasoning sections of these papers. Also in the earlier papers there were subjective questions which will not be a part of your CLAT so you need not solve them.

It goes without saying that you have to pay attention to the NUJS past years’ papers because they will be setting your CLAT 2011 paper. It might just help you to get used to their pattern of questions.

Well that’s about it. If there are any more questions please don’t hesitate to post questions to ClatGyan. We are always there to help you.

Thank you,
Nishant Prasad

The following notes form the opinion of our CLATGyan GK Editor Aymen Mohammed:
[Note 1: While Nishant has spoken about how the GK section in these papers will be of no use. I disagree, it is my suggestion that you guys solve the GK section as well, especially of CLAT 2008 because, only when you go through these questions will you learn what you “ought to” read and what you are reading.

Note 2: And if you find the whole exercise of past years’ papers to be too expensive, as I did, it would be my suggestion that you only concentrate on a combination of any two of the papers, ideally NLSIU and NALSAR. It is paramount, however, that you get a hand of what sort of questions are asked]

[Thanks to Vishaal who gave us the details of NLU Delhi and NLU Orissa]

    • Thanks for mentioning it. It is my suggestion that, if you guys have the money to burn, do purchase the past years’ papers of NLU-O and NLU-D, as, in my opinion, they have generally been of a higher quality than the CLAT papers of 2009 & 2010.

  9. I want to get the previous year papers of CNLU, Patna. How can I get those papers from year 2006 to 2009, coz CNLU was estd. in 2006 and it was associated with clat in 2009. So for the three years they would probably have not been remained admissionless. There should be some entrance exams or sth.
