Alright guys I hope this information suffices and answers all your questions.

As far as preparations with respect to papers go, Personally, I had not touched the GK section as the current GK would be of that year and no use to you. You can practice all the other sections from these papers. I would strongly advise you to solve the Logical reasoning sections of these papers. Also in the earlier papers there were subjective questions which will not be a part of your CLAT so you need not solve them.

It goes without saying that you have to pay attention to the NUJS past years’ papers because they will be setting your CLAT 2011 paper. It might just help you to get used to their pattern of questions.

Well that’s about it. If there are any more questions please don’t hesitate to post questions to ClatGyan. We are always there to help you.

Thank you,
Nishant Prasad

The following notes form the opinion of our CLATGyan GK Editor Aymen Mohammed:
[Note 1: While Nishant has spoken about how the GK section in these papers will be of no use. I disagree, it is my suggestion that you guys solve the GK section as well, especially of CLAT 2008 because, only when you go through these questions will you learn what you “ought to” read and what you are reading.

Note 2: And if you find the whole exercise of past years’ papers to be too expensive, as I did, it would be my suggestion that you only concentrate on a combination of any two of the papers, ideally NLSIU and NALSAR. It is paramount, however, that you get a hand of what sort of questions are asked]

[Thanks to Vishaal who gave us the details of NLU Delhi and NLU Orissa]

  1. ive the papers with me………..wondering whether the keys can be put up 4 the same, or a source from where the answers can be reffered sure it’s a tedious task,bt if possible please 🙂

  2. As additional information, those who wanted to buy the NLU-D papers (2008-2010) may send a draft of Rs. 550/- in favour of “NLU Delhi” to their address :
    National Law University
    Sector 14, Dwarka
    New Delhi, Delhi 110078

  3. Also if interested, NLU-Orissa Papers (2009 & 2010) can be purchased for Rs. 500/- by sending a DD in favour of “Registrar, NLU Orissa” to:
    ORISSA, PIN – 753001, INDIA.

    • Thanks for mentioning it. It is my suggestion that, if you guys have the money to burn, do purchase the past years’ papers of NLU-O and NLU-D, as, in my opinion, they have generally been of a higher quality than the CLAT papers of 2009 & 2010.

  4. @ Ananya… You’ll get a book on solutions and explanations to those papers when you join a coaching center. Almost all the coaching centers provide it.

  5. I emailed nls Banglore asking them how can obtain the past years papers and they replied that it is available for a DD of rs810 inc. postal charges for papers from 1988-2007….whereas you informed they were available for a DD of rs760…i got it made for rs760…what to do?

    • did you get the answers for NLU? pls help me if you got. i purchased the papers but wonder where i could find the answer key. though found 2010 solutions on the internet.

  7. hey guys! NALSAR’s address has changed now. They asked me to send the DD at their new address.
    NALSAR University of Law,
    H.No: 3-5-874/18, Adjacent to Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad – 500029

And a change in pin code for sending DDs to NLSIU.
    New pin code: 560242

  8. it will be greatness of you people if somehow i may receive the answer key of nlsiu banglore question papers thank u

  9. I want to get the previous year papers of CNLU, Patna. How can I get those papers from year 2006 to 2009, coz CNLU was estd. in 2006 and it was associated with clat in 2009. So for the three years they would probably have not been remained admissionless. There should be some entrance exams or sth.

Post a comment or at least a 'thank you!' It's okay if you're ungrateful. :P
